Washington Heights is bounded to the south by 155th Street and to the north by Fairview Avenue and runs from the Harlem River on the east to the Hudson River on the west. The Bennett Arms is located in Hudson Heights section of Washington Heights.

Within walking distance is the famed Cloisters Museum (an extension of the Metropolitan Museum of Art), a wide variety of restaurants, outdoor and fitness opportunities, and grocery stores, including a neighborhood organic food-buying program.
